Urban Politics #61: Magnuson Park Update

April 25th, 1999

There are two public design workshops currently scheduled. The first will be Tuesday on April 27th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Sand Point (7400 Sand Point Way NE). There will not be any formal presentations so you can drop by anytime during those hours. The design team will have three options for a Magnuson Park Design for discussion. They all include approximately 43 acres for athletic fields, an off leash area and significant wetland restoration.

Urban Politics #56: The Parks Dept & Citizen Involvement

There will be 3 Public Workshops to help the Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation revise its Public Involvement Policy. These meetings were set up under the auspices of City Council Parks Citizen Participation Resolution 29845, which I sponsored in response to citizen complaints that I had received regarding the Parks Departments development plans for some neighborhood parks.
