I-502 and Seattle Police Department

The Seattle Police Department Seattle Crime News blog has an informative post about Initiative 502, which Washington state voters passed in last week’s General Election.

As the post notes, under I-502, as of December 6 it will no longer be a violation of state law for adults 21 or over to possess up to an ounce of marijuana. In addition, the initiative established a one-year period for the state to develop licensing for marijuana production and sale.

The blog post explains the current legal situation in Washington state, how the Seattle Police Department plans to adapt to the passage of I-502, and federal law, under which marijuana is classified as a schedule 1 controlled substance.

Regulation is the key to making this work. We have built technology for each state to be able to track all product sold through a Transparent central Marketplace so Regulatory bodies can perform audits and make sure they are collecting the proper Tax Revenues. We have the first ECM Electronic Cannabis Marketplace with full price transparency and regulatory reporting. The only way this will work is if The proper reporting is available for Govt Auditors and Proper Tax collection. We are here to Help.
