Neighborhood Planning Gathering

The Neighborhood Planning Committee of the City Neighborhood Council is being restarted and as part of that effort is holding a city-wide Neighborhood Planning Gathering this coming Saturday from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Pritchard Beach Bathhouse, 8500 South Grattan. For directions please go to the Seattle Parks Department website: http://www.seattle.gov/parks/parkspaces/pritchardIslandBeach.htm

As the Chair of the City Council Committee charged with oversight of the Department of Neighborhoods (DON) I will be participating in the Gathering. Yvonne Sanchez, the Director of DON will also be there with some of her staff.

The Gathering will provide an opportunity to review, reinvigorate and renew our commitment to seeing that our neighborhood plans are being realized. There will also be a website demonstration-small group breakout to view neighborhood plans as well as a general discussion of them.

For more information on the Gathering contact the two Co-Chairs of CNC’s Neighborhood Planning Committee: Cindi Barker ( cbarker@qwest.net) or Lisa Merki (lmerki@eathlink.net).

Keep in touch…
